inferring

To infer is to reach a conclusion based on what you know. You might infer that the person you are talking to is angry based on their tone of voice.

When someone is clumsy, they are not very good at doing things smoothly and easily. They might make mistakes, or they might not be able to do anything properly.

When something weighs more than something else, it's called outweighing. The object that weighs more will eventually push the object that weighs less off of the scale.

Negativity is a negative attitude or feeling. It can be a way of coping with difficult emotions, or it can be a result of negative thinking.

flips

To flip something is to turn it over so that the other side is visible. This can be something that you are holding in your hand, or it can be something that you are looking at.

prefrontal

The prefrontal cortex is located in the front of the brain. It is responsible for a lot of your cognitive abilities, such as decision making, planning, and problem solving.

ventrolateral

Ventrolateral means that the ventral (lower) side is more developed than the dorsal (upper) side. This is usually the case in animals, but it can also be the case in plants.

Correlates is a word that is used to describe something that is associated with, or related to, another thing.
